• Elevation - 1500 to 2500m above MSL.

• Summer - intense heat & dryness.
• Winter - extreme cold.
• Soil - loamy, sandy & calcareous soils.
• Acidic soil with pH 5.5 to 8.5.
• Less water than other spice crops.
